Alien Voices

Alien Voices is a recording troupe headed by Leonard Nimoy and John de Lancie. You know... Spock and Q?

Together with other actors from the different Star Trek series, they have recorded a set of full-cast dramatizations of science fiction classics, such as Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World" (no...not the Jurassic Park sequel!), H.G. Wells' "The Time Machine" "First Men In The Moon" and "The Invisible Man" and Jules Verne's "Journey To The Center Of The Earth."

Their work has appeared on the SciFi Channel where they did a live performance of Journey To The Center Of The Earth in 1998, a Halloween special "broadcast" on www.scifi.com as part of their Seeing Ear Theatre programs, and on these fully-dramatized audio collections. The First Men In The Moon and The Lost World live performances are available on video from Rhino Video.

The best way to describe how these have been presented is to suggest that Mr. Nimoy and Mr. de Lancie have faithfully recreated the kind of dramas that represent the very best that might have been broadcast in the 1940's and 1950's. Their adaptations of these stories leave out nothing that is important to the story (something that, sad to say, is not always the case when a book gets abridged for audio recording). Their care is evident. These are very enjoyable.

They have created a pair of dialog shows between Spock and Q. Both of these are wonderful and should be heard to see how smart this team really is.
