Other Red and Dwarfish
Things
The Red Dwarf TV series is more than 50 episodes spread over
8 different series from the years 1988 through 1999, with moreincluding
a probable Red Dwarf movie in 2000to come.
Here are the US covers from their books; I am in the process
of scanning the tape covers from all 8 seasons.
The first three series have been "Re-Mastered" by their
producers, adding back some of the scenes that were shot but had
to be cut because of time considerations. They have also gone
back and recreated the special effects to be more like those in
the lastest series (computer generated rather than using models).
I won't show you all of the faces, but if you put the spines
together, this is the picture you get (so far):
If you have a PAL-capable VCRand if you don't know what
I mdean by that then you don't have one... trust me... you don'tI
suggest that you visit either amazon.com
(UK) or The Internet Music
and Video Shop to order these tapes. Both allow on-line ordering
with a credit card. Both get you the books in as fast as three
days, but generally in a week or so. Their prices are listed in
British £ (pounds Sterling) but you can compute the US costs by
using this
simple £ to $ calculator.
Now on DVD!
All covers are and remain
the copyright of the artist or artists who originally gave
them life. Unless, that is, some publisher paid them a few
pounds more to buy the rights away. I have not obtained
permission to replicate them, but hope that these fine individuals
and international conglomerates recognize that I am just
trying to help promote interest (and sales) in their books
