Favorite Audios From The BBC

Here are three fun and funny BBC radio shows/series to look for. You will need to order them from someplace such as The Internet Music and Video Shop. Remember, they will be quoting prices in Pounds Sterling (£).


Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel

This is an adaptation of a Groucho and Chico Marx radio show. The BBC have put together six shows in this two-tape set. The material is hilarious and the two guys playing Groucho and Chico are perfect. Frank Lazarus (Chico) was also the Chico character in A Day In Hollywood; A Night In The Ukraine.


I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again

John Cleese started on radio in the early 60's in this off-the-wall series. You may recognize the genesis of the well-known Monty Python "Albatross" sketch. Features an original show plus the 20th aniversary show.


The Two Ronnies

Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbet in a series of skits taken from their popular BBC-TV programme. Includes their famous "ice cream flavors" sketch.

Honorable Mention goes to:

1) Dad's Army, the famous WWII series, available in several volumes.
2) Black Adder, all four of the TV series redone for audio presentation.
