TwistedTunes        3 Dead Trolls in a Baggie

There is an amazingly clever man named Bob Rivers who, for years, has been putting together, writing, producing, releasing, etc. some of the most amazingly funny parodies of popular music I have ever found. He is based out of Seattle, Washington, so some of his pieces refer to local people, events and the weather, but of the hundreds of pieces available, I have only found one that I couldn't pick up the humor or references in.

These are just 6 of the dozen-plus CDs that are available. He has a wonderful website that offers free previews of most of the twisted tunes (by the way, as you can see from the cover photos, the overall title of his collections IS "Twisted Tunes"

I urge you most strongly to visit his site at: http://www.twistedtunes.com/ and to listen to some of the pieces, then visit his online store or go to your local BIG NAME CD Store and look for then in Comedy and in Seasonal (for his hilarious Christmas and other famous December holidays CDs).

In the mean time (and please,BOB, if you happen upon this page, I am not stealing, I am only trying to get people interested in your stuff so they will buy it!) I've put two of my favorites here for you to download/listen to. These are in much lover audio quality than the real versions which are VERY professionally produced!!!

Favorite Strange Music and Spoken Word Group

The most honorable mention to the great guys from the frozen north, Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie. They also have a number of CDs available and many of their pieces can be listed to at AmpCast.com by clicking here. They have some amazingly dead-on stuff about the Internet and Canada and the US. You have to go listen to their stuff. Since they get credit for each download and listen to their pieces, I am not going to post anything here.

They use to be with another "mp3" service who screwed them until they hurt, bad. So the move to AmpCast.com is happening in March and probably April of 2003. Not everything of theirs may be up (they have a number of CDs available, but only one is listed as of March 19th). Just go listen to their stuff.

You can also write to Wes and subscribe to their email list so you can receive the latest and greatest news and links from them every month or so. They you'll know when and where to go looking ofr their treasures, like "Welcome to the Internet Help Desk" and "Vader's Employee Evaluation"... spoken works of genius. And if you want great examples of songs, take a listen to "Nunavit" or "The Toranto Song."

Finally, you can just go to their website by either clicking the picture, above, or by going to http://www.deadtrolls.com/
